Curious by nature and a consummate learner, Michael Linder is ideally suited to his role as Commercial Banker. With over a decade of banking and credit experience, Michael channels his education to help business owners with comprehensive financial solutions. He knows that good communication is critical when it comes to financial matters, and works diligently to listen for ways that he can assist. “It is my job to know my client’s needs and explore every opportunity to grow their business, help them understand their options, and make informed financial decisions,” Michael shares.
After obtaining his MBA in Finance from University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Business, Michael redirected his banking career which began in consumer and residential mortgage lending, to gain experience in credit analysis, with his goals set on Commercial Lending. The connections he made, and his interest in progressive approaches to problems eventually earned him a lending role in the evolving niche of clean energy financing, including Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) programs.
By blending his skills as a communicator with his technical acumen, Michael supports Highland Bank business clients with diverse and effective financial solutions, enabling them to focus their time and energy on running their business.

Off-hours you will find Michael relaxing outdoors, traveling cross-country, mountain biking and spending time at the lake.
