Kevin Steffensmeier

As an SVP Commercial Banking Manager, Kevin Steffensmeier, brings 26 years of banking experience, including 16 years in commercial lending. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from South Dakota State University, Kevin began his career in banking with a passion for helping people grow and succeed. Over the years, he has found commercial banking to be the perfect fit, combining relationship-building, problem-solving, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the businesses and communities he serves.

Throughout his career, Kevin has developed expertise in commercial and industrial lending, equipment financing, and commercial real estate. What he enjoys most about commercial banking is that every business is different. He takes pride in understanding each client’s goals and helping them navigate opportunities for growth with confidence. As Kevin believes,”success looks different for each business,” and the best solutions are those tailored to each client’s unique vision and long-term objectives.

Kevin’s transition into leadership was shaped by mentors who invested in his growth and encouraged him throughout his career. Their influence inspired his own leadership philosophy, which centers on communication, trust, and mentorship. Kevin remains active in the community through his involvement with the I-94 West Chamber of Commerce, the Elk River Sportsman Club, and local school and youth activities alongside his wife. He has also continued to invest in his professional development through banking and leadership programs.Outside of work, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, staying active, and enjoying the outdoors.
