Brett Edelson, Chief Executive Officer, UnitedHealthcare of MN, ND & SD
Brett Edelson has been with UnitedHealthcare since 2005. He currently serves as CEO for UnitedHealthcare of MN, ND & SD, where he leads the team serving over a half million members across these states. Prior to this role, Brett worked in national leadership positions across UnitedHealthcare, including as Senior Vice President of its Community & State (Medicaid) business, where he led teams focused on Product, Consumer Experience, Strategic Planning, Dual Special Needs Plans and Medicaid proposal development.
John M. Cooper, Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN
John M. Cooper joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota in 2017 as the Director of small group and 51-99 group business. He also leads BCBSMN’s Association Health Plan and PEO strategies. John has more than twenty-five years of sales, marketing and underwriting management experience across all market segments, twenty of those years with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. His previous roles at Anthem include Regional Vice-President of Sales for Anthem Maine, RVP of Underwriting for Anthem Maine and he led Northern Ohio for all local market segments before being promoted to the Ohio lead for the Individual under 65 & 2-99 group segment. John also has international experience as his family relocated to New Zealand and in addition to enjoying the amazing scenery they became avid Rugby fans. While in New Zealand, John led the product management team at AXA New Zealand, an international leading insurance and financial planning organization in Wellington. He is a graduate of Ohio University and resides in Rochester with his family.
