Gary has been a successful salesperson and sales leader since the late 1980s. He has worked in multiple companies with different sales channels (direct, through resellers and distributors).
Prior to Co-founding Pivotal Advisors, he was the VP of Sales of a Twin Cities company and helped grow from $1M and 23 employees to $400M and 1,400 employees in just over a decade. To scale the company, Gary had to learn on the fly how to create systems, repeatable processes, hiring/onboarding systems, compensation plans, and more.
In 2008, Gary partnered with his brother, Mike Braun, to start Pivotal Advisors. Mike had an all too similar path as Gary with his own company. He managed a $250M division in this company that grew from $75M to $1B. They saw that many companies experience similar growing pains as they did and decided to start Pivotal Advisors together. They wanted to focus on helping small and mid-sized businesses implement and adopt the systems, processes, and structure required for disciplined sales growth. The motto of Pivotal Advisors “Build Healthy Sales Organizations” that scale profitably, consistently, and predictably. Together the Pivotal team has worked with over 300 organizations helping them reach their next level of growth.
