Jay Hammond, President, accepted the award on behalf of Highland Bank. “The success of our partnership is based on our common core values of putting the customer first, making the process easy, and getting the job done,” said Jay.

Highland Bank has approved and closed more SBA 504 loans with SPEDCO, a Minnesota Certified Development Company (CDC), than any other MN financial institution. “What makes this award particularly impressive is that Highland Bank is not the largest bank with the most number of locations. It goes to show that one needn’t be the biggest bank to make a big difference,” said Kristin Wood, Executive Director of SPEDCO.

Highland Bank is an SBA Preferred Lender and offers three SBA-backed products: 7(a) Program for general loans up to $5 million; 504 for fixed-asset loans, with a guarantee of up to $5.5 million; and SBA Express for lines of credit up to $350,000.
